One very important thing worth knowing is that you can track the IP address of your mail sender. It is also important to note that for every email you receive, the headers come with important information with which you can track where the mail is coming from and that is the IP address of the mail sender. Ordinarily, the headers of a received mail do not display the IP address, but with some settings, you can activate the feature and get the IP address displayed for every email you have inbox. Note that this setting will not work for mails sent with anonymous proxy servers.
If you are a yahoo mail user, follow the following steps if you wanna track the ip address of your mail senders.
FINDING IP ADDRESS IN YAHOO! MAIL Visit yahoo mail address and login with your yahoo username and enter your password
Click on inbox or whichever folder in which you stored your received mail.
Open the mail.
If the headers of your mail are not displayed then follow the next steps to display the headers.
Click on options on the top right corner
In the mail options page, click on general preferences
Scroll down to messages where you have the header option.
Ensure that you select show all headers on incoming mails
Click on the Save button
Now go back to your mail and open the mail which you wanna track the ip address. You should see something that looks like:
Received from: (name)
followed by the sender’s IP address in square brackets [] an ip address should look like this 135.065.456.35
